A day out on "Touvannah" is one of the most relaxing things to do while in Port Vila. "Touvannah" is a 'banana' boat which offers a range of fishing and snorkelling tours in and around beautiful Havannah Harbour on North Efate. The 5 meter fibreglass boat is covered and offers basic comfort levels.

Located approximately 40 minutes from the main hotels in Port Vila, Havannah Harebour is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas on Efate.

Owned and operated by the people of Lelepa Island in North Efate, the trips provide a great opportunity to enjoy the culture and hospitality of the Ni Vanuatu people. The crew will be happy to show you their favourite fishing spots and take you either light sport fishing or reef fishing. Depending on the time of year a range of fish including mahi mahi, bonito, skipjack tuna, barracuda, pacific salmon, long toms and trevally can be cought, as well as a variety of reef fish.

All fish may be kept by you and can be taken back to your hotel for a delicious fish supper.

Alternatively snorkeling and picnic tours are provided. The crew will be happy to take you to superb snorkeling spots just off Lelepa Island, where you can picnic on white sandy beaches. Reef fishing can also be added to this trip if required.

Full or half day trips can be made with starting times to suit you. Half day tours run for four hours and full day tours last for up to eight hours.

Transfers to Havannah Harbour can be organised by local taxi through your hotel and lunch and drinks can be bought on the way or provided by your hotel.

Tour options include:

  • Reef fishing or light game fishing
  • Snorkelling and picnics
  • Full or half day trips

Basic fishing and snorkelling equipment (mask and snorkel) is provided but you are free to bring your own if you prefer. Please bring plenty of cold drinks, your lunch, sunscreen and a hat.

The trips are great value for money and offer an affordable alternative to the big game fishing boats in Vila.
