Vanuatu waters have gained the reputation as the premium sport fishing and big
game fishing destination in the South Pacific and Port Vila is one of the Meccas
of game fishing. The deep untouched waters surrounding Efate and the Vanuatu
islands are the ideal playing fields for big game anglers who strive to meet the
challenge of catching the big sea monsters. Here, industrial fishing is under
developed, game fishing charters are scarce (less than 10 boats for the whole
Vanuatu archipelago) and 90% of the islands and the surrounding waters remain
untouched.
Horizon : a dream of a boat
Horizon is the newest game fishing
vessel of Vanuatu. Horizon's construction was
completed by the 30th of September 2003. So be among
the first to enjoy a fishing cruise on board. This
beautiful and spacious Capricorn Classic 42' cruiser has
been designed with performance and fishing
as key criteria. Our boat is equipped to cater for the initiated and the totally
uninitiated, the expert and the beginner.
Performance
With her sharp hull and her twin 370HP Cummins engines, you’re
in for a smooth, safe and quick ride to the fishing grounds. Fitted with the
latest technology electronics, radar, fish finder, chart-plotter, radio,
locating quickly bait schools and big game fish is easy.
Fishing
Equipped with an unbeatable range of game fishing equipment
and all comfort inside, you will enjoy a cruising and fishing experience that is
second to none.
Horizon is fully equipped with the latest quality fishing
gear including Shimano
Tiagra game reels, Ian Miller
cobalt game rods and the best lures available. You will find in her cockpit
everything from rod holders, outriggers, live bait tanks, freezers, lures boxes,
sink and shower to the 130lb fighting chair to help you fight the toughest and
heaviest monsters of the sea.
Safety
No expense has been spared also for your safety. Radar,
satellite phone and radio will ensure your safety on fishing grounds. 10 persons
life raft, life jackets for everybody, flares, fire extinguishers and first aid
kit are carried on board. Last but not least, the captain Serge Crusot
has a rescue and oxygen therapy
certification. And of course we have
covering passenger insurance.
Relaxation
After the adrenaline charged hours of heart-pounding,
palm-sweating battle with splendid blue water monsters, you’ll enjoy a relaxing
time having a beer or soft drink and a delicious snack or meal in the
luxuriously appointed lounge and fully equipped galley and why not taking a nap
or a good night of sleep in our spacious
2 cabins.
Her luxurious and spacious
interior turns Horizon into the ideal leisure cruise boat for 4 to 7 people. In addition to the cabins with their 5 beds, the lounge
sofas are convertible to allow 2 persons sleeping.
For your comfort and ease, Horizon will not carry up more
than 6 passengers/anglers except on your specific request (family).
