The friendly Dive Team! Big Blue is Port Vila’s newest Scuba Dive/Snorkel Operation, yet it has the longest serving Instructors and Divemasters with a wealth of local knowledge. Mike and Maggie Crawford have been diving in Port Vila for over 13 years and their 2 Divemasters Jerry and Luaky have over 40 years diving experience between them! Also part of the friendly Dive Team is Janet, Port Vila’s first female Ni Vanuatu Divemaster. They are also located in Port Vila’s newest tourist area right on the seafront alongside the local mamas selling their arts and crafts as well as next door to The Nambawan Café and Juice Bar. Handy after a hard day’s diving! They operate a double dive in the morning onboard the fast dedicated dive
boat “taiao marie” and a leisurely single dive, snorkel or just for the sail
option onboard a 42foot trimaran in the afternoon. The gear is brand new and
good quality including computers for hire. As well as looking after certified divers and groups, Big Blue offers a great option for complete beginners. Discover Scuba lessons daily and Openwater courses running constantly. Other PADI courses available include Advanced Openwater, Rescue, Medic First Aid, Divemaster and Assistant Instructor. Specialty courses include Deep, Night, Navigation, Naturalist and Wreck (a good idea before going to Santo to dive the President Coolidge!) For the entry level courses such as Discover Scuba and The Openwater course all gear and materials are included in the price. For all other courses gear hire is available or you might want to buy your own at Duty Free prices from our new shop. Dive sites include a great variety guaranteed to suit everyone’s taste and experience levels. Ranging from Paradise Cove, our favourite spot for Certified, Introductory Divers and Snokellers alike to The Semle Federesen, a deep wreck dive suitable for more experienced divers.
