Tafea Tourism opened up anew tour
activity today, named Imaio Custom Village. It is situated opposite Mount
Yasur Volcano with a very special viewing area of the volcano and valleys
below where Lake Siwi was before it emptied out. They will be doing custom
dances and a few activities several days a week and in the afternoons to
allow tourists time after the tour to go the volcano at night. Imaio
Custom Village originally opened up about the same time as Yakel Custom
Village but closed down after the Frank King Tour business finished up,
today the community were delightede to start again and as we were making
the ceremony the excitement was obvious to all present, it is a very
spectacular location and the dance activities match the location. The tour
is started with a welcome by the local cannibals.
