YASUR VOLCANO SAFARI

Departing 2.00 pm. Experience
the awesome majesty of mighty Yasur Volcano. Travel by 4wd to the
far side of Tanna. As you make your journey you will pass through
villages and farms, visit the wild horses on White Grass Plains and midway
through you will crest Mt. Loanialu where we stop for a photo opportunity
of the distant volcano, black sand surf beaches and Sulphur Bay.
Enter Yasur village and trace your way across the moon like landscape of
the ash plain. Drive past a mighty waterfall (wet season) and
through a lush rainforest before ascending the crater. A short 10
min walk will take you to the rim of the crater where you will be able to
wonder at the power of nature. Note: The weather conditions at the Volcano
are unpredictable, the management accepts no responsibility for impaired
viewing due to rain, cloud or wind conditions. A jacket and walking
shoes are recommended.
HORSERIDING at WHITE GRASS PLAINS or LENAKEL

Departing at 8.30am. Enjoy a horseback experience
Tanna style. You can either choose to saddle up right here at the Resort
and ride up to the White Grass Plains. You will experience the magnificent
coastal views. Or you can travel by 4wd to Lenakel Cove (20 mins drive
each way) and then ride through forest paths to the forest where you will
visit a magnificent Banyan tree (the largest in the Southern Hemisphere)
and also enjoy amazing views along the coast from the high plateau.
Note: Horse riding is dangerous and at your own risk. Children must be
accompanied by a parent or guardian.
BLUE CAVE (Lemnap underwater cave)
4 hours – Min 2. 7500vt pp No Child Concession
Depart resort at 8.00am. The boatmen from the North will
transport you by fishing boat along the magical limestone coast.
Along the way the boatmen may trawl Tanna style for Wahoo or Yellow Fin
Tuna. You will visit ancient caves and deserted beaches plus the
amazing Lemnap (Blue) Cave, the highlight of your trip to North
Tanna. To access this remarkable natural cavern you will take a
short dive underwater of approximately half a metre into the turquoise
interior. Here you will see that nature has created a stunning
grotto, 60 metres in diameter, which is lit from above by a shaft of light
filtering down through a 5 metre hole in the caves roof. The effect
is breathtaking. Return to resort approx 12.30pm. Remember to
bring: Hat, sunscreen, towel, swimmers, mask, snorkel, waterproof camera.
No child concession rate on this tour. Note: A cancellation fee of
1800vt per person applies as we have no communication with North Tanna and
must compensate the boatmans fuel should you wish to cancel.
