Sure Thing reflects on Vanuatu

Vanuatu: the happiest destination on the planet. This picture tells it all

They say “A picture tells a Thousand Words”, if that’s the case, then “Actually visiting tells a Million Words” when it comes to exotic holiday destinations like Vanuatu.

Flicking through the glossy holiday magazine images is one thing, but actually touching down on the picturesque island is another.

As the travel agency director at Sure Thing Travel, I am exposed to an extensive array of holiday destinations for the Western tourist, and we rank Vanuatu very highly on our list. The list isn’t determined by just brochure photos and TV travel shows, but by actually visiting the destination.

I personally spent two months in Vanuatu to inspect the accommodation, flights, restaurants and tours across seven of the islands to absorb every detail which would be of concern to a potential tourist.

As a Westerner, Vanuatu provides a timely change of pace as a well as a variety of activities, eateries and accommodation for any demographic. Having spent approximately 3 nights per hotel or resort, I noticed that each place catered for a different kind of tourist. Some are specifically set up for families, some for business, some for couples, and others for weddings and honeymoons. The inherent constant was that each place consisted of delightfully friendly locals, reflecting Vanuatu’s status as “The Happiest Place on Earth”.

As an Australian, I analysed Vanuatu’s Tourism to the finest detail, and I was impressed. Next time you see an intriguing photo of Vanuatu, you should definitely consider taking the next step. Now that I’ve done the research, I am more than happy for you to email me with any questions.
