Tour Information
World War II Historical Sites tour - Tour around Santo and
World War II relics namely Hospital War Cinema, Ruby field, and an artificial
waterfall built by the American soldiers during the war. Ontop of Sarami
Plantation hill, catch an ocean view that looks out towards Mavea Island, Ases
island, and Ambae. Theres more..even as far as to Million Dollar point where the
American military dumped tonnes of equipment after WW2. Ideal for divers
(Million Dollar Point) and those keen in exploring the remains of
WW2.
Riri River canoe Ride tour - This half
day tour consists of canoeing up Riri River, in a traditional dugout canoe, to
Santo's popular Blue Hole. There are you surrounded by tropical forest, and a
magical blue sink hole ready to cool you off. Dont forget to bring a mask and
snorkels for a closer look below a cave rock. Lunch back at your
hotel.
Custom Alter
and Banyan tour - This tour shows how one gains custom
rank. Custom alters are built especially for pig kill ceremonies which
determines one's next step up the chieftainship hierarchy. After the experience,
a trek to one of the largest Banyan tree will allow visitors to sight rare
Flying Fox species endemic to only Santo.
Mavea
Island Hot Spots - This tour is designed to give a comprehensive
understanding of custom cave, custom alter, the World War II plane crash. So its
almost a sum-up of all the tours.
