
After
3 successful years of operation, Leneai Palms Resort in Tanna has recently
added a new Tour to its three set of Tours. Leneai Palms
Resort classified as a “Middle Range” started with a 1 Bungalow
managed and run by Owners Ron and Ann Hartland Originally from Oberon
- rural New South Wales, Australia. “We opened in 2004 with only one
Bungalow and had just completed the fifth and is now ready for use, the
new tour is another milestone to future developments” Ron Hartland. In
addition to the new tour the couples are now working on putting together
an Island Feast night activity that will run for 3 nights per week
starting next month.
The new tour called “South Tanna Horse Riding Tour” is now
operational from early January 2008. Tanna is well known for
its popular wild life for “Wild Horses” and introducing Horse riding
tours brings more reality to the destination. The tour takes riders
up in two different tracks. First ride takes riders to the
slopes of Mt Tukosmera, highlighting sea views and tabu areas where
large colonies of flying foxes live in original virgin bushes.
The second ride goes along the beautiful Blacksands South
Beach and up to the famous
Yapilmai Water Falls a perfect sport
for a swim in the cool pools below the falls and return back down to
the coast line through the lush bush.
Leneai Palms other three set of tours are includes a full
day tour, Sulphur Bay, Shark
Viewing, Captain Cook Rock, Port
Resolution, Lunch, Swimming/Snorkeling and Historic sites, Yasur
Volcano. Second tour Includes viewing aspects of daily cultural
lifestyle activities, visit the Chief's 'nakamal' (meeting place), and
learn about medicines, animal trapping, cooking and cyclone housing,
finishes off with Toka Dances. The final tours are all individual
tour which includes the famous Mt Yasur tour, and other very interesting
tours.
