A world of travel ideas and
opportunities waits at this year's Flight Centre Limited Travel
Expo held in Adelaide on the weekend from 2nd and 3rd of February,
2008.
The Expo was designed for travelers to gain knowledge
about the latest travel offers and to take
advantage of the
exclusive discounts on airfares and holiday packages. Australia's
leading
wholesalers and suppliers were at the Travel Expo in
Adelaide and other cities which is held throughout February &
March. Although the travel expo 2008 has got such a powerful
campaign over the media, however, according to organizers, there were
3,000 on Saturday and Sunday increase to around 6,000. This is less
than the Expo 2007 with more than 13, 000 visitors for the
2 days event at
the Convention centre.
For this year, the organizers rearranged the set up. All
around the hall, Flight Centre has
installed in place booking
desks while the exhibitor booths occupied half the centered space
and the remaining were fitted with tables & chairs for appointments
and eating/relaxing. There were 45 exhibitors there including Vanuatu
Islands on Booth 22 closer to the main entrance. Participants are
Allan Kalfabun from The Sebel Vanuatu, Geoff Thomas Air Vanuatu , Sydney
Office and VTO.
Despite of all these, Vanuatu and New Caledonia were the
only Pacific Islands on the show and both experience good enquiries during
the two days. Our high lights were the specials on “Pay 4, Stay 8”
on offered by Infinity Holidays, Flight Centre, Talpacific, Escape
Travel, Student flights and Qantas Holidays with bookings within the next
4 weeks with validity up to December 2008 plus additional specials only
available during the show.
Admission to the venue is free and everyone who books on the
day will go into the draw to win great prize.
